Jesus Christ is the center of Christianity. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary’s womb. When He was born, God Himself entered into human history. Everything about Christianity is determined by the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus willingly died to bring people into a right relationship with God by paying the penalty for our sins, granting us eternal life, making us part of God's family forever, and giving us direct free access to God through prayer. He rose again on the third day, as He promised. The resurrection of Jesus is the most radical of all Christian doctrines. No other historical figure has ever claimed to be God and has risen from the dead.
Jesus Christ is alive, He is God, and He invites you to know Him personally. Other religions are man seeking and struggling toward God. Christianity is what God has done for man by giving His Son to pay the penalty for our sin. In Jesus, God became one of us. This same Jesus longs to know you and to live in you.
“Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures. He was buried and He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
(1 Corinthians 15:3-6a)
“There is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men.”
(1Timothy 2:5-6a)
